Create Opportunity for Future Students
Brandon Mark ’81 majored in business administration and credits the more personal, small class sizes and relationships he developed with faculty for changing the course of his life. He says, “I’ll always be grateful for the education I received at USF. The values I inherited from my family were confirmed and reinforced at USF—perseverance, ethics, and service to others. My experiences at USF shaped who I am today.”
When asked what he loved most about campus life, he remembers fondly his time living on the 6th floor of Phelan Hall where he would run into USF basketball star Bill Cartwright. “He’s 19 inches taller than me; we’d have a good laugh riding in the elevator. I also had an amazing roommate who I’m still friends with 38+ years later.”
Brandon was a scholarship recipient, which was a big help for him and his parents. He believes now is the time for planning to pay it forward with a gift through his will.
“All students should have the opportunity to attend college. If my providing a small funding source to USF will help achieve this aspiration, then my years of hard work will have been worthwhile.”
